How to Align Objects in Microsoft PowerPoint in 60 Seconds

How to Quickly Align Objects in Microsoft PowerPoint

1. How to Use PowerPoint Align Guides
Getting alignment on a slide is really about creating a sense of visual rhythm. Let's learn more about it in Microsoft PowerPoint. As I start to click and drag an image, you'll see when I have it centered up thanks to these guides. These little lines are really showing you when you've got the image in the place that will have it centered.

You don’t have to do anything to access these options, just click and drag until you see them. And they kind of illustrate where the object sits proportionately to the edges and center of the slide.
2. How to Make Images Equidistant in PowerPoint
Let’s switch slides, and you’ll see three images here. The two on the outside edges aren’t equidistant from the one in the middle.

As I start drag one, you can see when I have positioned it so that it's equidistant thanks to these guidelines that show.
3. How to Align Text in PowerPoint
Now, you can also align content inside of boxes. For example, in text boxes, you might want to tweak the text and where it sits. In the text box, I'll make sure that I'm on the Home tab and find the Paragraph section on the menu.

You can click on center, for example, to center up the text of the box. Alignment is easy and really cleans slides up. You've just used the PowerPoint align tool to align text in PowerPoint.
