How to Add PowerPoint Slide Transitions Quickly

Note: Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick steps that compliment this video.

1. Open the PowerPoint Transitions Tab

To add some transitions to your PowerPoint slide show find the Transitions tab on a ribbon and click on it. Let's also make sure that we have a slide selected by clicking on it here from the sidebar.

2. Open Up More PowerPoint Slide Transition Options

And now it's at a transition. All that we needed to do is click on a transition thumbnail and PowerPoint will play a preview for us. To view more possible transitions, let's click the more arrow. This option opens up all of the possible transitions in PowerPoint ranging from subtle, exciting and dynamic.

3. Apply a Subtle Transition Animation to All Your Slides

I prefer to stick with one of the subtle animations to keep my presentations professional and free of distractions. If you wanted to add the same transition to all of the slides, you could click in the side bar, press Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all slides and then choose an animation from the menu.
