PowerPoint lets you put all kinds of media, like images, inside of your presentation.
What happens when you need to flip an image inside that presentation? The good news is that you won't need to open up Photoshop or another editor just to flip an image.
Let's learn how to flip a picture, and manipulate images, right inside of PowerPoint.

How to Quickly Flip a Picture in PowerPoint
Note: Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick steps below, that compliment this video.
1. Place Picture That Needs to Be Flipped in PowerPoint
I'll start off by pasting in an image that's on my clipboard. I'll position it a bit on the canvas and then downsize it by holding Shift and clicking and dragging on the corner. This image is looking nice, but it needs to be flipped.

2. Flip the Picture in PowerPoint Vertical or Horizontal
With the image selected, let's make sure we're on the Picture Tools > Format menu here on PowerPoint's ribbon. Let's click on this Rotate button on the right side. If I choose Flip Vertical the image is mirrored from top to bottom.
Let's flip it from left to right by returning to the same menu, and now I'll choose Flip Horizontal. And you can see that it's kind of mirrored from left to right.

Finishing Up!
Either of these tweaks is great if you have an image that starts off kinda backwards or flipped and is corrected with the Rotate dropdown. These tweaks happen right inside of PowerPoint and with just a couple of quick clicks.
