Choose a graphic that you want to apply a magnifying effect. I'll be using the World Maps 6 Version from Envato Elements. This graphic comes in AI, EPS, PNG, and JPG file types.

Add the graphic to your slide by clicking on the Insert tab above the toolbar. In the toolbar, click on the Pictures button. When you click on the Pictures button, a menu appears.

Choose the correct option depending on where your image file is located. Once you’ve located your file double, click on the file. Your image is added to the slide.

A Format Picture side panel appears when you click on the Format Pane button. In the Format Picture panel, click on the Effects tab. Under the Effects tab, click on the Shadow section.

In the Shadow Section, you’ll see Presets field with a Shadow button. When you click on the Shadow button, a menu appears. Click on the shadow that suits your picture. (I used the Outer: Offset: Bottom Right option.)

If you like, you can draw a circle or box around the magnified part of the image.

5 PowerPoint Presentation Tips

Do you want to give the best presentation possible? Here are five tips on how to give an effective PowerPoint presentation:

1. Use a PowerPoint Template

Premium PowerPoint templates can take the pressure off of you to create a well-designed slide. Not everyone can design a slide that looks good.

Professionals design premium templates to look stylish and impressive. There are themed templates that can be used for a specific topic. These templates can match the presentation topic. There are also multipurpose templates that can be used for any topic.

2. Don’t Use Too Many Animations

When it comes to animations, less is more. If you've got too many animations, it can cause them to have less of an impact.

Animations can be used in-between slides, but they can also be used to draw the audience to an important point on your slide. Too much animation could cause the audience to take you less seriously.

3. Involve the Audience

There are many ways that you could involve the audience. When you involve the audience, you encourage them to pay attention to your presentation.

One way to involve your audience is to quiz them after your presentation. You could even offer a prize for the audience members who get the questions right.

When you don’t have the audience's attention, giving a presentation becomes useless. So, it's essential that you keep your audience's attention.

Here is some more information on engaging your audience:

4. Create an Outline

Creating an outline can help you plan your presentation. Microsoft PowerPoint has an outline view that you can use to create your presentation outline.

In your outline, you can plan what text you want on each slide and where you want to add images. Outlines help you organize your content so that you don’t have any gaps and can have a smooth presentation.

This tutorial explains how to write effective presentations:

5. Use Visuals

When you use visuals, it can help you build an emotional connection with the audience. Visuals can also help you to deliver information directly.

However, when you use visuals, make sure they are high quality. You don’t want the audience to ignore what you’re saying because they are trying to figure out what your image is.
