How to Style Tables in PowerPoint Quickly
Note: Watch this short tutorial screencast or follow the quick steps that compliment this video.
1. Style With the Table Tools Design Menu
I've got a basic table of data here in PowerPoint and let's style it to make it stand out. The fastest way to get started is to click the Table Tools Design menu here at the top.
2. Use the PowerPoint Table Tool Design Presets
Let's start off by clicking one of the preset styles from the thumbnails here. When I click on one, you'll notice that our table was instantly styled.
If we wanted to try some other styles, we could simply click on another thumbnail. Most times, this will be enough to get your table looking great but let's look at some additional one-click options.
3. Apply Additional PowerPoint Table Style Options
Often times, our tables first or last column will contain important data. So, we could click on those options to really bring attention to them. Watch as I click on these options here in the upper left and it highlights those columns. Try a one click style, and then add additional options here in the upper left to get your table looking great.
That's it, in just a few clicks we built out some great looking PowerPoint table styles.
